Migrating to Ably from an existing service
Are Ably Queues appropriate for Production?
Our reactor queues are best used in testing and when capacity is low. We do not recommend using reactor queues on production apps and at scale (particularly if you would exceed the queue limits outlined here). We instead suggest that you use integrations to another queue or streaming service such as SQS, RabbitMQ or Kinesis.
Note: Our Ably queues have necessary periodic downtime and so do not have the same guarantees as other parts of our system.
Do reach out on our support portal if you have any further questions. We'll be happy to help you!
