What is the relationship between Accounts and Apps
Customers who sign up to free or paid packages on Ably are setup with an account. Any limits in place relating to your package such as a maximum number of concurrent connections or messages per month are counted at an account level.
An account therefore has:
- A single subscription package or free package that determines how many messages and connections are permitted
- One or more users who are assigned to the account, with at least one account owner
- One or more apps
- Usage statistics aggregated up from all the apps within the account
Each app has:
- Usage statistics for the app
- A set of API keys
- A set of namespace rules
- Settings for the app
